![]() (Sepulcher isn't too bad, but if something goes wrong or you don't have a strong build to blast through everything, a run can go from great to dead VERY quickly in there). IMO, the Distillery, Cavern, and Sepulcher are the hardest biomes for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they are preferred by many. The new biomes seems to be loaded with gear and are kind of predictable to navigate. If it it was one-handed similar to the katana charge mechanic, or two-handed but primary was ranged, or primary was ranged, but secondary was melee or an AOE, or seconary has smart targeting, then I'd like it more. The Scarecrow is the second tier 2 boss in the game and is an alternative to the Time Keeper and The GiantRotG. The only one I'm not fond of is the lantern, since it is two-handed and it is hard to judge overkill/underkill. Explore floating shrines, infiltrate the lair of an outlawed secret society and learn the tells of a new boss. I use it in hand most of the time and pop it out for a second or two at a time to finish off marked enemies or to apply marks/kill trash. It’s not the final boss of the game by any standard, but it’s certainly a tough one. And Serenade is super fun and works great with all bladed weapons. Dead Cells The Scarecrow boss was added with the Fatal Falls expansion. Cocoon is great for giving you another parry option when using a crossbow or two-handed weapon, but I wish it was more obvious when you miss a parry and it's now on cooldown. Take on two new levels and a boss as you dodge new traps, enemies and discover more of the lore of the island. This is mid game content designed to continue to add variety to your runs and continue support for the development of the game. Lightning Rods combos GREAT with War Javelin teleport: put a rod down, throw javelin through everyone, teleport, place second rod, and everything is dead. Take on two new levels and a boss as you dodge new traps, enemies and discover more of the lore of the island. If you do so, it might take you around 28 hours to beat the game. Perhaps, youll gather some of the best blueprints or engage in any other piece of optional content. Yet, unless youre incredibly single-minded, your run will probably be longer. Iron Staff is much better than I thought it would be, both as a primary weapon and as a shield stand-in. If you put all of your attention on the main objectives, you can finish Dead Cells in 14 hours.
